Monday

Using up last week's leftovers and stocks.

  • Breakfast: oatmeal porridge
  • Lunch: vegetable cream soup with herb croutons
  • Dinner: forest mushroom risotto (we have risotto rice in cupboard and mushrooms in the freezer), banana bread from ripe bananas

Tuesday

SHOPPING DAY, take the list along!

  • Breakfast: banana bread (from the day before), apples, Greek yogurt
  • Lunch: arancini from last day's risotto
  • Dinner: spaghetti bolognese, rocket salad

Wednesday

  • Breakfast: banana bread, Greek yogurt, oranges
  • Lunch: spaghetti from the previous day, with fried egg, ham and spinach
  • Dinner: fried trout in teriyaki sauce, green onion, rice

Thursday

  • Breakfast: oatmeal porridge, sandwiches
  • Lunch: wok dish of rice and frozen vegetable mix
  • Dinner: tex-mex: tortillas with chicken, red beans, guacamole, tomato and onion salsa, spinach

Friday

  • Breakfast: avocado and tomato sandwiches, fried eggs, orange, smoothie
  • Lunch: hummus, carrot sticks, couscous with herbs (couscous from the cupboard)
  • Dinner: Asian-style meatballs, rice, kimchi, steamed broccoli

Saturday

  • Breakfast: eggs, toast, ham, tomato (from the greenhouse), apples
  • Lunch: minced meat sauce, mashed potatoes, tomato salad, pickles
  • Dinner: chili chicken wings, coleslaw from cabbage and carrots, home-made brioche buns

Sunday

  • Breakfast: Pancakes with apple jam and Greek yogurt, smoothie
  • Lunch: fried potatoes with bacon, green onion and dill. Tomato salad with sour cream
  • Dinner: chicken fillet chops, onion and tomato salad, white button mushrooms in creamy sauce
